At the Tekken World Tour 2025 Finals back in January, Bandai Namco unveiled their Season 3 trailer which showed us that the game’s third season will consist of Kunimitsu, Bob, Roger Jr. and a brand new character.
As promised earlier this week, after the top 8 of Tekken 8 wrapped we got exactly what we’ve all been waiting for — the trailer for Kunimitsu in Tekken 8.
Although Kunimitsu is clearly reminiscent of her Tekken 7 iteration and is still Kunimitsu II, the daughter of the original Kunimitsu from the early Tekken games, there were some new tricks up her sleeve as well.
Including what seems like smaller gimmicks like breathing fire, she also has a special sword she unveils during her Rage Art and win poses.
On top of this, special intros for her were shown in the trailer with her having some kind of knowledge of Reina, seeming to be around the same age and perhaps having attended the same school as well as the tidbit that Raven trained Ninjutsu under her father, whose identity is still unknown.
Kunimitsu will be releasing in early access form on May 28th for season pass holders and will be available in a more public fashion on June 2nd.
Something besides Kunimitsu herself that was undeniably exciting, though, was the promise that the final character of the Season 3 pass which is stated to be a brand new character will be shown to us in a special first look at Combo Breaker 2026 towards the end of this month, so look forward to that.
Below you’ll find a gallery of images of Kunimitsu in all of her glory pulling of some really crazy kunoichi moves.
