Everyone knows where to go to find lemons, apricots, and olives in Arc Raiders by now. That would be Blue Gate’s Olive Grove. But what about Agave? Like Prickly Pears, this plant feels much harder to pinpoint and find consistently.

That’s annoying because you need eight of these prickly plants to donate to the new Avian Alarm project. Oh, and of course, that means tons of other players are also vying for the same spawn locations, just to make matters worse.

The best place I’ve found to get Agave is on spikey plants on the hills bordering the Dried Riverbed in Riven Tides. This leads from the far south of the map, almost down to the Port Authority Building in the north. However, while there are lots of these unique plants here, you can only tell which ones are harvestable for Agave by approaching them.

Conveniently, this is also the best place to get Moss, so you might know the lay of the land already or have grabbed a few earlier. I managed to find three Agave (and 13 Moss) on a single run through here, so that’s nearly half the way there in a single stint. Chances are you’ll be done with this step in just two or three matches.

Another location that’s worth searching is around the Pale Apartments and Ruby Residence in the north of Dam Battlegrounds, particularly along the roads there.

There are also three map conditions that can increase your odds of getting Agave. It’s a possible spawn inside the wicker basket containers you find dotted around the maps during the Lush Blooms modifier. It’s relatively common in chimneys during the Bird City event, which also contains valuable trinkets like the Red Coral Jewelry. Lastly, you can find it while Beachcombing on Riven Tides, though this one’s quite time-consuming.

Unlike most of the random items the Avian Alarm project asks for, Agave is actually one worth continuing to pick up. That’s because you can feed it to your pet rooster Scrappy, which can cause him to passively gather items for you, including Mechanical Components and a bunch of great weapon attachments.
