The long-awaited showdown between Reject|Daigo and WBG|MenaRD is finally upon us and it’s taking place in form of a Kemonomichi battle right before Evo Japan 2026.
Although the main event will be to see these two Street Fighter legends face off in Street Fighter 6, there are two other massive matches happening as well, so there’ll be a lot happening today during this special Kemonomichi edition.
The challenge was first issued by two-time Capcom Cup champion WBG|MenaRD over a year ago and after spending time both preparing and finding a fitting venue for it, we’re finally going to see the first-to-10 battle between these two legends.
While this is the main focus, there are also other big sets happening for other titles.
TM|Arslan Ash has won a total of 7 Evo titles in the Tekken series including two in Evo Japan so he faces the homeland hero THY|Chikurin, the 2024 Evo Japan champion, on his home turf for a first-to-7 set in Tekken 8.
There will also be an epic runback from last year’s SNK World Championship finals for Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves between Reject|Laggia and DFM|Go1, also in a first-to-7 set.
All of it will be playing out at Evo on Twitch.
