After asking for testers for the app a few weeks back, I can now announce that the app is live on Google Play: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=app.quicknades
What quicknades is and how it's different
I've been spending the last year building this CS2 utility app called quicknades. The goal was to create a tool that quickly gives you access to the nades you want to throw during the match using only your phone. The big advantages of the app are:
- Very quick access to lineups mid-game through filters and favorite options
- All lineups based on professional matches
- Full customizability: radar, crosshair, filters, …
- Free. No ads. Funded by voluntary contributions
The lineups you will find in the app are all based on real professional players' games. Currently the database contains about 1.5 million lineup throws that have been clustered and grouped to differentiate random ad-hoc throws from fixpoint lineups resulting in about 1.7k lineups across 8 maps in the app. With new matches happening every day, more will be added continuously.
Further, it was important to me that users can modify the app to their liking. That is why the app allows you to adjust the coloring and setup of the radar and the lineup, set your own default filters, even adjust the crosshair on the fixpoint images, as well as dark and light mode.
All images you see in the app are created automatically by scripts which means that feedback will be incredibly valuable for me and the community to identify incorrect or low-quality images. This also holds for all other aspects. A feedback/bug icon is available on every screen and whenever you see something – say something!
A nice additional feature is that Liquipedia has allowed me to use their data to link the throws to the real players, matches, and tournaments. This allows me to show you for each lineup which pro used it last, who uses it most often and how the usage has evolved over the past months/years.
Thanks to everyone who was part of the testing, sent bug reports and improvement suggestions. It was much appreciated!
