I will be testing for 6+ hours after I've installed a fan above the ram kit for cooling, as tempts were reaching 50.5 Celsius after 1.5 hours. For this setup, this is the limit, as lowering trfc leads to boot failure.
6400 CL28 boots, same vddq and vdd 1.55, vcore soc 1.3, passes geekbench 3 but coefficient too large error in Pi5b and fails testmem5 after a few minutes. 6600Mhz boots aswell, with same voltages, but fails geekbench 3, also cl28. 6600 also crashes sometimes randomly at cl28.
Is it worth increasing primary timings to increase frequency? Ex. 6400 CL30 or 6600 CL 32-34? Or is this the IMC limit? For reference this is a regular x870 eagle board, not the best signal integrity. It is rated for 8200Mhz. At 8000Mhz cl36 I pass Pi5b and testmem5 for 8 minutes but as soon as I change Trefi, it fails rather quick. I'm sure I'm motherboard limited but then again I can boot 8400CL40 and pass geekbench 3. I am new to ram overclocking so appreciate any advice. Thanks in advance!
