Ajami Secures First Gold for Iran
Hassan Ajami claimed the gold medal in a final that featured nine athletes from Iran, China, Sri Lanka, Thailand, and Uzbekistan. Ajami recorded a throw of 20.17 meters to secure the top spot on the podium. This victory marks the first medal for the Iranian delegation in this edition of the games.
Competition Results
The host nation, China, took the remaining podium spots. China’s representative earned the silver medal with a throw of 19.95 meters, while another Chinese athlete claimed bronze and third place with a record of 19.69 meters.
Iran’s second representative in the event, Mehran Khorand, finished in fifth place with a recorded distance of 17.63 meters.
