When it comes to video game music quizzes the First-Person Shooter genre doesn’t get much love. This quiz fixes that. There are ninety tracks in total, each under thirty seconds, covering both single-player and multi-player levels, both famous and niche. The first section of thirty tasks you with guessing the game, the next section the level the track appears in, and the final section focuses on the track’s title. Within each section ten tracks are easy, ten medium and ten hard. The minimalist presentation is deliberate, since I’ve found that fancy graphics tends to be distracting. What you get here is the music and the music alone. Also, finding high resolution pictures of the title covers for all ninety games has been impossible, and I’d rather have no pictures than ugly, low resolution ones.
