Hi all,
As the title states, I've recently overclocked my new(ish) GPU and it's my first time overclocking (specs at the bottom). I've followed this guide for overclocking / stress testing, along with this video for undervolting. I'm quite happy with both the performance gains and lower power consumption so far:
Undervolt: 0.985V to 0.845V @ 2700MHz
Memory overclock: +2500MHz
Wattage reduction: ~30-40W
I've attached some screenshots of, the voltage curve, Afterburner, and Unigine scores (latest score today with the settings above) and just wanted to know people's thoughts and any improvements I might be able to make?
I also have a few questions:
– When attempting to undervolt below 0.845V, when I try to flatten the curve, it only seems to flatten up to 0.845, and everything below that still has the curve even when I'm selecting lower voltages correctly (or at least I think I am. It seems to work OK up to 0.845V!). Any reason for this? I couldn't find a definite answer online for this. I could probably push my overclocks further but my power consumption is starting to creep up, and I can't undervolt any further due to this.
– Probably a silly question here, but is it also worth overclocking both my CPU and RAM? By that, I mean what sort of gains could I expect, as the gains I've seen from GPU overclocking seem to be quite significant.
