Alex and the mid-season balance patch for Street Fighter 6 were released not too long ago. Though every character received adjustments, the meta hasn’t seen that much of a dramatic shift thus far.
Regardless, Chico was recently inspired to create a new post-patch tier list that even includes Alex’s position. It’s interesting to note that each tier category (going from S to C) is ordered.
According to Chico, the best characters in the game right now are JP, Ed, Mai, Terry, Sagat and Blanka. This seems to line up with the opinions of many other competitive players.
A tier contains characters like M. Bison, Ryu, Akuma, Rashid, Chun-Li, C. Viper, A.K.I. and five other combatants. Notably, A tier is the most loaded of the tier categories.
The newest addition to Street Fighter 6, Alex, finds himself in the B tier group. It’s implied that there are at least 22 characters that are better than him. Of course, it’s also interesting to see Luke just below Alex considering that Luke was widely considered to be potentially “top 1” in the first season of Street Fighter 6.
Since the game was released, Lily and E. Honda have really struggled to compete against the rest of the roster. This remains true on Chico’s new tier list as both fighters are the only ones in the C tier group at the bottom of the tier list.
