A fresh set of Gran Turismo 7 Weekly Challenges rolls in this Friday morning, April 17, as your console clock ticks past midnight into the new day. If you’ve been keeping up with GT7’s weekly rotation, you know the drill: five new events, seven days to run them, and a stack of bonus rewards waiting at the finish line.
For anyone still catching up, Weekly Challenges unlock once you’ve completed the GT Cafe career (through Menu Book 39 and the ending movie).
Each week brings four standard World Circuits races alongside one Special Event, giving you a full seven-day window to knock them out. Reward tickets are sent to your Gifts section as you hit completion milestones (at one, three, and five events finished), with each tier stepping up in value. Just remember to redeem them before they expire. All told, you’re typically looking at around 1.3m credits in cash and prizes for the week.
This Week’s Highlights
The European Sunday Cup at Barcelona-Catalunya uses the National Layout, which cuts out the first sector entirely. That makes an already short two-lap race even quicker (and the 25,000cr reward reflects it). It’s an easy one to tick off the list.
The American Clubman Cup 700 at High Speed Ring Reverse should be a straightforward affair. With powerful U.S. road cars on a high-speed layout, expect a drafting shootout where slipstreaming your way to the front won’t take much effort. The World Touring Car 800 at Autodromo Lago Maggiore’s Full Course is the longest race of the week at ten laps, and Maggiore is at its best with fast cars, so this should be one of the more enjoyable events.
This week’s Special Event is a one-make race featuring the Hyundai Elantra N TC, a recent addition to the game courtesy of the 1.67 update. You’ll be taking it around WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca for seven laps, making this one of the meatier events in the rotation. Elsewhere, the World Touring Car 800 at Autodromo Lago Maggiore should be a highlight for anyone who enjoys fast cars on that flowing circuit, and the Japanese 4WD Challenge sends you to Road Atlanta with some interesting machinery.
