Update: Bandai Namco has now released the patch notes for Tekken 8’s Version 3.00.02 update.
The Season 3 patch for Tekken 8 was released last month. It was to mark a “return to basics,” but Bandai Namco acknowledged that the patch did not fully meet expectations.
Shortly afterwards, an emergency patch was released to address specific bugs that were impacting the gameplay experience for players. It seems another patch is being scheduled for tonight to further “correct unintended behavior.”
“A patch for Tekken 8 will drop on April 16 at 4:00 CEST | April 15 at 19:00 PDT | April 16 at 11:00 JST,” said Bandai Namco on X. “This patch intends to correct unintended behavior and etc.”
“Details of the update will be provided in the patch notes on the day of release.”
As such, a maintenance period has been scheduled to begin about 30 minutes prior to the release of this patch. Of course, this means that online content will be unavailable for a brief period of time.
Patch notes are expected to be released later tonight. Based on the wording that we’ve received thus far about this patch, it’s intent is to address bugs rather than applying balance adjustments to the roster.
Still, it’s likely that certain characters may inadvertently be buffed or nerfed based on which bugs are fixed in the patch. Check it all out below:
