Today, after an entire decade of frequent use, I retire my HyperX Cloud II headset. It’s been with me through thousands of hours in everything from CSGO and Battlefield to Fortnite and Destiny 2.
It has seen relationships and friends come and go, an entire pandemic and moving in with my girlfriend. It has seen thousands upon thousands of hours of school, work and of course gaming. It has survived being both thrown and sat on.
Behind its cracked headband and swapped out cushions however, the same beauty as 10 entire years ago peeks through.
Saying goodbye is always hard, but no matter what new fancy headset I use you can never truly be replaced.
