The Invincible Vs Open Beta gave many fans an opportunity to try out Invincible, Atom Eve, Rex Splode, Monster Girl, Bulletproof, Allen the Alien, Omni-Man, Battle Beast, Robot and Thula for the first time.
While most players seemingly walked away with positive impressions of Invincible Vs, there was apparently a major problem involving rage quitting. Brian_F recently talked about it in a recent video, describing the situation as a “Rage Quit Epidemic.”
Evidently, there’s a lot of anticipation for Invincible Vs as many fans of the Invincible series joined in on the action during the weekend. This is a fairly good sign for the future of Invincible Vs as it suggests that it will sell well at launch, but this attention apparently carried some bizarre consequences.
The Invincible Vs Open Beta effectively mixed in veteran fighting game players with Invincible fans that could best be described as “casual gamers.” Needless to say, when things skewed too heavily in one player’s favor, rage quits commonly happened.
It might seem a bit silly for someone to rage quit in a beta when there’s usually nothing on the line anyhow, but this apparently hampered many players’ progress towards making it to the top 20 portion of the leaderboard. Those that were able to make it this high would get their names listed in the credits of Invincible Vs upon launch.
Brian_F decided to jump into the beta to see if the problem was really as bad as people were saying. Funnily enough, Brian_F had someone rage quit on him during his first combo.
