Hi,
I just bought a new PC, 5080 and 9800x3d.
Performance is absolutely amazing on 1440p, and I OC the GPU to +350 and +2000 with great results (no ECC stepping in AFAIK).
Now I enabled EXPO, EXPO high bandwidth (gigabyte MB), x3d turbo (disable smt), and enabled PBO:
MB limits, +200, -50 CO all cores.
I ran a 10 minute OCCT core cycling variable load, 20 sec/core – worked perfectly, no errors, no crushes, no stretching (reported 5.39GHZ, actual 5.37GHZ) (SSE, AVX).
Also ran a 10 minute all-core extreme load test (AVX).
Seems pretty good, i watched the voltage lower on OCCT when I change it in SMUDebugTool, and the effective clocks were never stretching.
Yesterday I played Expedition 33 for hours on -40, decided to try -50 today, haven't played yet, only benchmarked.
Is this is even possible or am I missing something?
I heard that even -40 all core is pretty rare…
So I'm wondering if I won the silicon lottery or am I stupid and completely missing something?
EDIT:
Thanks for all the comments!
So I understand that 10-20 minutes are nothing, but as I've said I played expedition 33 for like 6 hours on -40, and now I'm at 1:15hr of aida64 extreme on -50 https://imgur.com/a/2P7P2tO (I took the picture a long time ago).
What else do I need to do? And more importantly, why does it matter (I'm asking seriously)? If it's stable for 6 hours but maybe (IDK) not 12, why should I care?
