The Pokémon Champions game is all about battling with Pokémon—including Mega-Evolved Pokémon like Mega Dragonite. You can take part in single and double battles that use familiar mechanics from previous Pokémon series games such as Pokémon types, Abilities, and moves. There’s a lot of possibilities when it comes to battling, and we can’t wait to see what strategies people come up with!
Pokémon Champions is a free-to-start game, which means that you can jump in with the free download at the link below. There is also a paid Pokémon Champions + Starter Pack bundle that includes the base game and additional in‑game bonuses.
About the game
Compete in Ranked Battles against players from all over the world*, or try Casual Battles for some easygoing fun. Private Battles are also available if you just want to compete with your friends and family**.
Of course, before you venture into the world of Pokémon battles, you’ll need some Pokémon to fight alongside you! Once per day, you can recruit Pokémon on a trial basis and use them in battle to see if they’re a good fit for your style. Once you’ve found a match, use your in-game Victory Points (VP) to bring Pokémon on to your team permanently.
You can also use your VP to train the permanent members of your Pokémon squad. Hone their Attack, Defense, and other stats, and even alter their Abilities and moves to try out different strategies in battle!
Pokémon HOME
Pokémon Champions is also compatible with Pokémon HOME***, the cloud service for the Nintendo Switch™ 2 and Nintendo Switch systems, and mobile devices. That means, in addition to the Pokémon partners available in Pokémon Champions, you can also team up with certain Pokémon brought over from past Pokémon series games and Pokémon GO.
