I just imagined myself as a kid and what I liked to do is go outside, pick up some sticks and pretend they were swords. Pick up a rock and pretend it was coins, etc. I thought, instead of getting children addicted to screens like we are currently doing, we just add an extra layer to the imagination they already have! My goal is to make this for kids to get them outside and play in the park, so if there are any parents that think this is cool, let me know!
Of course, this is a whole new technical challenge, far beyond just optics, which I am trying to keep as a HUD. This is also far beyond my capabilities as an individual, so if some of you have any ideas on how to solve technical challenges or maybe even an idea for a game you could play with this, let me know!!! I think the world really needs something to get us out of the house again.
Gameplay:
It is really hard to explain the whole game mechanics without experiencing it but think of it like Pokémon Go but instead of seeing the Pokémon, you hear them. Also, you can fight with other fellow players since headsets will know each other's positions. The creative gameplay possibilities are endless so I will keep this short.
Gestures:
This one is especially wild because you would be able to bind your own gestures to any action. You want to heal? Slap your leg like you would with an EpiPen, boom, health restored. Come up to a tree and tap it, wood comes out and you can craft a bow an arrow!
Do a bow and arrow gesture, boom you can shoot arrows!
