My best friend back home has been down lately so I decided to try my hand at some 3d modeling and put this neat little trophy together for him since we play Helldivers 2 together a lot. All 3D printed, sanded, painted, primed and glued by me. Went down a couple rabbit holes to texture PLA like wood and it came out pretty good! I plan on having an impromptu award ceremony at his house, and give a speech that really amps up how impactful his contributions to Super Earth have been. I'm also putting together a Helldiver cosplay so I plan to present the trophy to him in full Helldiver costume, and he's going to have to improvise an acceptance speech haha. Below is the speech I plan to give, I'd appreciate feedback if there's any Democracy officers out there who happen to see this.
Citizens, patriots, and defenders of Managed Democracy…
I stand before you today to ask a question.
What becomes of us when Democracy falters?
What fate awaits our planet, our people, our very way of life… when devotion wavers and patriotism fades?
The answer is simple.
We crumble.
We fail not only ourselves, but the countless heroes who gave their lives so that Super Earth might endure.
But that… is not our destiny.
Because when tyranny rises… we fight.
We fight for our homes.
We fight for our fellow citizens.
We fight for Managed Democracy.
And it is that Democracy that we gather here to honor today.
When Democracy called… he answered.
Across the battlefields of the galaxy — from the swamps of Barabos to the blazing vortexes of Cyberstan — his resolve never wavered.
Again and again he faced the horrors of the frontier.
Struck down by the rusted communist war machines of the Automatons.
Scorched by the acid and claws of the Terminid menace.
And yet, each time… he rose again.
Not for glory.
Not for reward.
But for Super Earth.
For liberty.
For Managed Democracy.
It is for this unwavering devotion, this relentless courage, and this indomitable spirit that we gather here today.
On behalf of Super Earth… and all the citizens whose freedom he has defended…
