OpenGOAL is a community-driven project that started in 2020, and its purpose has been to adapt the Jak and Daxter games for native PC play. Now the whole trilogy is available: the first two installments are completely playable, and the third is limited to 60 FPS for now and might have some bugs. Nonetheless, we don’t doubt that all of these things will be fixed.

The Jak & Daxter series, created by Naughty Dog, debuted in 2001 on the PlayStation 2 with Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy. It was a major technical and design milestone at the time, offering a seamless open-world design with no loading screens, something relatively rare for console games at the time.

The series combined tight platforming, light combat, and environmental storytelling with a colorful, expressive art style, helping define the PS2 era alongside other flagship titles.
