I’m posting this as someone who wants to play PUBG, not as someone looking for an argument.
It is frustrating that in 2026, a game as important as PUBG is still effectively closed off to Mac players, with no real clarity about whether that is ever going to change. I understand Mac is not the main platform for this game, and I understand anti-cheat support is not trivial. But “it’s difficult” is not the same as “it should be ignored forever.”
Right now, the usual answer is basically: BattlEye and CrossOver do not work together, so PUBG on Mac is not happening. But that turns a developer support decision into if it were just a random technical law of nature. It is not. If support is blocked, then that is part of a product decision too, not just an unfortunate footnote.
What makes this worse is the lack of a clear public answer. Silence leaves people guessing, retrying the same dead ends, and wondering whether support is impossible, unplanned, or just not being discussed. Even a direct “no, this is not on our roadmap” would be more respectful than leaving the question half-open indefinitely.
I’m not pretending the Mac player base would suddenly become huge. That is not the point. The point is that players on that platform are still players. Some of us would gladly come back, spend money, and stay engaged if there were an official path to play. And if there is never going to be one, KRAFTON should just say so clearly.
So this is the ask: either give Mac players an official support path, or give an explicit public statement that support is not planned. What should not continue is this vague middle ground where the answer is always “it doesn’t work” without any real ownership of why.
I’m curious how many people here would actually play PUBG on Mac if there were an official solution.
If you want, I can also tighten this into a slightly more aggressive version, or make it sound more like a normal Reddit post and less like an open letter.
