An experimental-but-addictive combat drug. Once you take it, you gain immortality, and the ability to slow or rewind time. The side effects? The immortality part isn't optional, and when the drug runs out, you are condemned to suffer for eternity.
Katana Zero is an Indy developed, neo-noir style, pitch-black tragedy. You play as Subject Zero, a katana-wielding, wash-up war vet, who was forced to take the drug as a child solider. Given the last, dwindling supply of the drug by your government handler, you must slice your way through mafia goons, cops, and government agents to complete your mysterious mission. Will you arrive at your goal – and extract your revenge upon those who condemned you – before the drug runs out? And who else might be caught in the crossfire?
Set to the gorgeous electronic, synth-wave soundtracks of Bill Kiley and LudoWic, and with a 97% 'Overwhelmingly Positive' Stream score, Katana Zero is a stylish 2d action platformer that combines immensely satisfying, time-bending combat, with a dark, disturbing story that will leave you empty, yet begging for more.
