In the midst of the crazy RAM price increase, I got the idea of overclocking my mismatched RAM sticks!
I'm running a mixed setup:
16 GB Crucial Ballistix 2400 (Micron B Die D9TBH)
16 GB Crucial Ballistix 2666 (Micron D Die D9TZV)
Both are dual rank
I managed to get a stable OC at:
3000 MHz
16-17-18-34
1.37V
2N
Benchmark Results:
Latency/Bandwidth OCCT:
| Level | Latency | Read | Write |
|---|---|---|---|
| L1 | 2.43ns | 3001.82 GiB/s | 1517.64 GiB/s |
| L2 | 6.03ns | 2812.70 GiB/s | 1422.01 GiB/s |
| L3 | 55.71ns | 275.64 GiB/s | 178.88 GiB/s |
| Memory | 75.22ns | 36.93 GiB/s | 37.19 GiB/s |
Ran a ~45 minute OCCT stress test
AVX2 20 threads 18gb util.
0 errors so far
From my understanding, the limiting factor is the 2400 stick since I was able to run a stable oc on the 2666 stick alone and reach 3100 MHz
Rig:
