I have a Windforce OC 5090 with a 0.895V undervolt and a max clock capped at < 2800.
I stuck a spare fan I had under the pass through section of the heat sync and it shaved 5’c off the peak temp. The photos make the clearance look tight but there is actually 15mm of space under the fan and between the fan and GPU. It looks hideous but you can’t argue with the results. 🤷♂️.
I managed 15321. My best score without the extra and was 15246. Don’t ask me what happened to the CPU clocks, they usually stay perfectly flat but for some reason they were all over the place on this run.
Would I see much improvement from upping the clocks closer to 3GHz? I’d likely have to up my voltage right?
My card usually games in the 50s rarely exceeds 60’c. I’d rather have a cool running card than up the heat for the sake of a couple of fps.
