ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) – A family of four can spend more than $225 on tickets, parking, and food at a Cardinals home game, according to ticket platform SeatGeek. But don’t sweat it.
You can throw much smaller numbers onto the scoreboard of savings. The Cardinals are offering a series of new deals this year, and some veteran plays to save, that won’t make you give up your peanuts and crackerjacks.
As always, fans can bring their own food and drinks. But there are also new steals sliding into play.
“Our rooftop decks continue to be a fan favorite every year, from the all inclusive Cardinals Nation Rooftop, to the now free admission Bud Deck, part of the $4 million investment last year,” said Mike LaMartina, President of Ballpark Village.
That’s right, free admission to the Ballpark Village’s all-inclusive Cardinals Nation Rooftop.
“We’ve taken away the barrier of entry and people can now come to games for free. And if they want to buy a food and drink package, they’re able to do so as well,” said LaMartina.
The Cardinals are also pitching some new deals this year in the stadium.
Coca-Cola Unlimited, starting at $29 for bottomless cokes and ballpark eats, such as hot dogs, French fries, ice cream, and popcorn, in Big Mac Land by Left Field.
And there’s the new Cardinals Value Meal: five items for just five bucks each.
“It’s going to be a hot dog, popcorn, nachos, a 16 oz. bottle of water, and a 16 oz. fountain soda, for five dollars each,” said Nate Green, Senior Director of Cardinals Hospitality.
Also new, Kids Sunday at Ford Plaza with a DJ, crafts, games, Fredbird, plus free ice cream from Prairie Farms.
And returning this year is the Budweiser Ballpark Pass for a mobile ticket to every home game for $50 a month. There’s also the Dynamic Deal of the Week and Flex Packs.
Take in Friday Night Live, with live music on the Budweiser Terrace with $5 beers & hot dogs, and $6 margaritas. On Smithfield Family Sundays, you can buy tickets in the Right Field Terrace or RF/LF Pavilion and get a free jumbo hot dog and coke.
Fill up at Phillips 66 for the 50% off ticket program.
Or park for free at the 24 Park-Ride lots at MetroLink stations in Missouri and Illinois, and grab an unlimited MetroLink day pass for $5.
Take a rideshare, or carpool with friends or family.
And if you’re looking to suit up, hit the thrift stores, which often have Cardinals gear for pennies on the dollar.
