I see alot of people lately talk about MW19/MWII (some are just Treyarch fans who come to shxt on the IW games), but why do some people hate these games?

MW19 was arguably the "revival" of CoD after a terrible year of BO4 (selling just 14 million copies, which is considered lackluster compared to newer titles of IW). Prior to that we had WWII, which also sold just 19.2 million copies, which to say, isn't a big success for CoD. IW studied what people liked/hated about those games, and came up with MW19. A game liked by majority of the players, which wasn't really "carried" by WZ release as it was a top sold game even prior to WZ release (over 600 million usd revenue within just 3 days of release). Graphics were miles better than what we have right now and game actually ran better than the new games. Movement wasn't a neccessary as much as it is right now with BO7, it was actually balanced. A casual player could easily compete with others, whereas now it's a bigger struggle. Wall-jump and omni-movement kept furthering the line between casuals and "sweats", which imo is maybe causing the loss of players lately.

MWII was a very hyped game considering it was released with a "new" engine along with the new Warzone. After lots of complaints from players regarding slide cancel, they actually took action and removed slide cancel. Graphics were better than what we have in the current games, weapons felt much more realistic and actually were the best weapons probably in modern CoD games. Although, the loud minority complains a lot about this game, it broke records and actually managed to achieve 1 billion usd revenue within just 10 days, which is a record no other CoD has been able to achieve yet. Weapons had more visual recoil and you actually needed skill to control the recoil, unlike in current CoDs where almost every new weapon is a laser beam. With slide cancel removed and more visual recoil on weapons, game was much more fun compared to the games we have right now, even Ranked felt so much better and for me, it was the best Ranked play experience from a CoD game. MWII, imo, was the best game for majority of the players, considering gap between casuals/"sweats" was the smallest we've probably ever had. BO7 listened to the community and it significantly underperformed a lot compared to prior titles, according to the article. Personally, I've played MWII the most out of any modern CoD game (by a lot) and it's the best game in the past 8 years for me. Superb graphics, great gunplays, movement wasn't absurdly fast and it was just a ton of fun overall. If upcoming IW game tends to be a mix between MW19 and MWII, it would be pretty insane and it might as well break even more records than these 2 games have done. Looking forward to the upcoming game, hopefully it'll be as good as these two, if not better.
