STOCKTON, Calif. – Playing its seventh of a 10-game homestand, the Pacific baseball program hosts UC Davis in a non-conference affair Tuesday at 6 p.m. at Klein Family Field.
Pacific (9-14) is looking to bounce back after dropping two of three from Seattle over the weekend in the first West Coast Conference series of the year. The Tigers won the opener 6-4 and the offense averaged six runs per game over the series.
Sophomore JT Shank is coming off a 4-of-4 day at the plate Sunday with a triple, home run and two runs scored. Senior Grant MacArthur registered three hits with a double and a pair of runs.
On the season, sophomore Robert Orr leads the team with a .329 average, four homers and a .557 slugging. McArthur carries a team-high .400 on-base percentage and is one of two Tigers to start in all 23 games along with senior Jake Tandy.
UC Davis (9-11) is 4-4 in Big West play but most recently dropped a series to Cal Poly. The Aggies took two of three on the road at Santa Clara earlier in the year. Tyler Howard leads the team with a .338 average and a .440 on-base percentage.
Looking ahead, Pacific will conclude the homestand with a weekend series against Gonzaga beginning at 6 p.m. Friday.
