I just got a PNY 5080. I used MSI Afterburner and increased to overclock, here are my settings:
Power limit: 110%
Core clock: +375
Memory clock: +2000
I tested the GPU out in Red Dead 2. 1440p, all max settings.
Average core clock: 3133 mhz
Average memory clock: 2833 mhz
Average GPU temp: 59 C
Average GPU wattage: 253 W
My question is if there is any potential thermal throttling going on with the GPU. I ask because I've seen other 5080s can reach 330+ W under load.
I also tested fully maxed Cyberpunk with path tracing with similar results. Peak GPU Watts was around 285.
I dont see any thermal throttling in other parts of the PC. My CPU is at about 65c under load.
Is the 253 W under load fine or indicative of any power draw issues?
