Debcisters, famous for its “Cookie Run” intellectual property rights (IP), presented its vision to become a global IP company by developing new game works and various offline events using it.

On the 21st, DevCisters held an online showcase called “DevNow 2026” and unveiled its major strategies to grow into a global IP company.

Cookie Run IP, which was born in 2009 in the mobile learning game ‘Oven Break’, has expanded its genre to ‘Cookie Run: Oven Break’ (running action), ‘Cookie Run: Kingdom (RPG), ‘Cookie Run: Witch’s Castle (Puzzle Adventure)’, and ‘Cookie Run: Tower of Adventure (cooperative action)’, and has expanded its scope to TCG, Good’s, Publishing, Exhibition, and Licensing. As a result, it is currently on the list of Korea’s representative hit IPs, with more than 300 million cumulative users of IP integration and more than 1.5 trillion won in cumulative sales.

In addition, DevSisters plans to introduce a series of new works, starting with ‘Cookie Run: Oven Smash’, which will be released in the global market on the 26th. Cookie Run:Ovensmash, which will be presented as a real-time battle action game, will introduce new content with Cookie Run’s unique winning strategy and competitive play, such as “Noom Battle,” which wins if our team’s sugar know-how completes the stone faster than the other team, and “Jelly Race,” which earns points if you take jelly from the map to the opponent’s goalpost.

In the second half of this year, it will release a role-playing game (RPG) ‘Cookie Run: Crumble’. A pleasant battle with light humor and wit is a feature of the game. It will play a role in leading the Cookie Run Universe by illuminating characters that appeared early in the series or were underrated as “alternative cookies” that exist on different time lines.

Cookie Run IP’s first open world game ‘Cookie Run: New World’ is also being developed. It is a cross-platform game that encompasses PC, console, and mobile, and aims to be released in 2029.

Five existing live games, including “Cookie Run: Kingdom,” are also planned to provide users with new experiences with large-scale updates.

It also unveiled plans to expand Cookie Run’s experience beyond games into everyday culture.

First of all, a Cookie Run pop-up store will be opened in Times Square, New York. The pop-up store, which will open in April, will meet with North American fans by presenting special goods limited to the New York store, a large Times Square electronic board video, and a sign event for U.S. Cookie Run Sung Woo-jin and creators.

From the 27th of this month, the spring collaboration “Cookie Run in Lotte World Aquarium: Sea Adventure Exhibition” will be held, and in May, the vertical marathon “Sky Run” and dessert pop-up stores will be held with Lotte World Tower. Starting in June, it will also accelerate its move as a national IP to promote Korea’s national heritage for the successful hosting of the UNESCO World Heritage Committee meeting in Busan.

It will also expand its influence in the TCG (Trading Card Game) market. This year’s “Cookie Run: Bravers” card game will participate in more than 20 major conventions in the United States, focusing on strengthening local TCG user contacts and distribution networks. The first world championship in April will feature players from 10 countries, including South Korea.

For the first time, the “Cookie Run Card Collection,” which expanded the TCG experience to the Roblox platform, was also unveiled. It provides unique fun by collecting cookie run cards that are implemented three-dimensionally in a Roblox environment and acquiring cookie pets using various cards. The game will be released globally by the end of this year.

In addition, cookie-run contents using augmented reality (AR) will be released in 2027.

Cho Gil-hyun, CEO of DevCisters, said, “We are pushing to expand various areas from IP experience, world view, genre, platform, and culture, focusing on Cookie Run this year. We will make a leap forward as a global IP company by specifying new possibilities introduced in DevNow 2026.”
