Sin Chronicles

An investor who took over the SSR Wives project has threatened legal action against the game’s original creator and any supporting them.

Defenders of the original creator maintain that of course the art style will be similar if the artist is the same. Some artists may appear iconic in franchises, but it’s like Yoshitaka Amano’s artwork may be associated with Final Fantasy, it’s not as if Square Enix owns his unique style.

Last year, SSR Wives was taken over by Jozef Gherman, an investor who has previously worked with AI products. The developer of the game “Protag” was removed from the project, along with other developers to allegedly replace them with cheap labor and AI.

It’s worth mentioning that Gherman is the founder of “StealthGPT” an AI chatbot that markets itself as a writing tool that can fool readers, and has been charged by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) for soliciting approximately $300,000 from investors based on “false and misleading statements”. You can read the full statement from the CFTC here.

The Commodity Futures Trading Commission announced today that it has issued an order filing and settling charges against Jozef Gherman of Florida and J Squared LLC, a Florida limited liability company, for making misleading statements or omitting material facts in connection with soliciting more than $300,000 from over 40 individuals to invest in digital assets. Gherman was an employee and one of the founders of J Squared and was its principal owner and CEO.
