After remaining mostly quiet last year, the teams behind Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls are opening up a lot more about what they’re doing and changing with the game now.
Arc System Works just revealed the details about Marvel Tokon’s flashy team Supers, but you can’t just use them whenever you want.
As was teased in the previous trailer that revealed Wolverine, Magik and Danger, there was a new mechanic which was not present in last year’s beta tests.
Now we know those special Supers are called Tokon Assemble and what situations they can be used in.
Interestingly, Tokon Assemble appears as though it’ll serve as a comeback mechanic for the game because you can only activate them if you already have a round loss or if losing the round would end the match.
On top of that, players also need to have all four team members to be unlocked, have 150 Skill Gauge to burn and three bars Assemble Gauge — so they’re going to be expensive.
For all that cost, you get an invincible Super with your entire team getting in on the action though they don’t show off how much damage they actually do yet.
This comes after ArcSys revealed the long list of changes made to Marvel Tokon following the beta for the new demo, which should shake things up majorly.
Said demo will be available for the first time at the Arc World Tour Finals starting today before being taken to other big events for players to try out.
Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls is currently in development for the PlayStation 5 and PC with a scheduled release date set for August 6, 2026.
We previously put together a pre-order guide for Marvel Tokon, which details all of the different editions, their contents and prices that are available.
You can check out the Tokon Assemble comeback mechanic in action below.
Tōkon Assemble lets you perform an invincible strike and then a series of attacks with the entire team. This move is only available when losing the next round would result in a match loss, and it can only be used once per match.
