Played 30+ solo matches on Serpent Island this weekend, and I noticed a clear drop in players using Mythic or Legendary armor and backpack.
Even if you get lots of kills and manage to extract successfully, using higher tier gear just is not worth it when you look at it in a pure cost-efficiency perspective.
For example:
- Full Epic loadout costs around 137.5K to enter the game. If you extract loot worth 3M, your net profit is about 2.86M.
- Mythic weapon with Legendary armor costs about 1.1M to enter. With the same 3M worth of loot, your net profit drops to 1.9M.
A failed extraction obviously hurts even more. On top of that, I usually do not sell my armor or backpack, so even if you extract with over 6M in total loot value, the part you can actually sell is usually around 3M only. So TBH i will only use mythic/legendary gear when I am just trying to have a fun game and look for some kills.
